Dear NCTC Partners,

Warm greetings in the love of the Lord as I share our September Partner Letter. In mid-August, I traveled to the Sobral and Fortaleza areas of Ceará state in northeastern Brazil for approximately two weeks of ministry. By God's grace, I completed the scheduled ministry and returned safely to the United States. Through your prayers and financial partnership, I was able to serve precious souls in Brazil and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of the new creation. It was truly a blessed and fruitful time.

In Brazil, I witnessed again the simplicity and power of the Gospel.

What made this mission especially meaningful was that it went beyond one-time healing meetings. We also had the opportunity to train local pastors and leaders in the Word. At the church of Pastor Claudnei, who coordinated the entire trip and opened the doors for these meetings, I taught the foundational message of the new creation to pastors and leaders in four sessions. We also spent time answering their questions and discussing how to apply these truths in their ministries.

Each session lasted about two and a half hours, yet those who attended said the time passed far too quickly and that they wanted to hear more. Some received the Word with tears, while others listened with visible amazement. Pastor Claudnei was also deeply touched and shared his desire to continue applying this message in his church and in the training of his leaders. Through this precious relationship, I believe the Gospel of the new creation will continue to take root and spread throughout Brazil.

We also held six healing meetings in five churches, including churches in Sobral and Fortaleza, and proclaimed the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s Word concerning healing to more than 1,500 people. At each meeting, we laid hands on the sick and prayed, and many testified that they had been set free from sickness and pain.

One testimony from a young woman remains especially vivid in my heart. She had injured her knee as a teenager and had lived for eight years unable to run properly, walking with a limp. The years of pain and disappointment had caused deep emotional wounds, and she showed us scars from a time when she had tried to take her own life. After receiving prayer, however, she tested her knee and suddenly began to run. When she realized she could run without pain, she came back filled with joy, knelt down, and gave thanks and glory to the Lord. As I watched the darkness lift from her face and saw her testify freely before the people with a bright and joyful expression, I was reminded again of the true freedom the Gospel brings. Many other healing testimonies followed. People testified that lumps had disappeared, pain and physical problems had been healed, and symptoms related to kidney stones had vanished. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Countless people are still suffering under the bondage of sickness, fear, sin, and death. This is why we must proclaim the Gospel with even greater boldness.

(Romans 1:16, NKJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.

The salvation Paul spoke of means far more than going to heaven after we die. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God that rescues us from every bondage of sin and death, heals us, makes us whole, and sets us free. The problems we experience in life are rooted in the power of death that entered the world through sin. To deal with this problem at its very root, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ.

(John 10:10, NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

This verse helps us discern the source of what takes place in our lives. It is not the work of God to steal our health, our lives, our dreams, and our desires, or to kill and destroy them. God is not a Father who teaches us through sickness and bondage. He sent His Son to give us life and to enable us to enjoy that life more abundantly. The power of death that entered the world through sin had bound humanity, but Jesus came to break that power and set us free.

On the cross, Jesus fully bore the price of our sin, curse, and death. Through His resurrection, He broke the power of death and disarmed the enemy. When we believe in and receive Jesus Christ, our spirits are born again from God, and we become new creations in Christ. This is the climax of the Gospel and the glorious fruit of Christ's redemptive work.

At the cross, Jesus did more than forgive our wrongdoings. He completely identified Himself with our sin, curse, and spiritual death, and fully paid the legal debt that we owed. He personally bore the full price of our sickness, poverty, failure, sin, and death. Therefore, the enemy no longer has any legal ground to hold us in bondage or condemn us.

When Jesus rose again on the third day, He destroyed the devil who held the power of death and released us who had been held in lifelong slavery through the fear of death. He rendered principalities, powers, and Satan's system of dominion powerless, and rose in complete victory. In that resurrection life, we were born again from God and became His children. The new birth is not a slight improvement of an old life; it is the birth of an entirely new kind of being that never existed before.

This is the Gospel of the new creation. The ultimate fruit of Christ's redemptive work is the new creation. Those of us who have received Jesus are not people who will someday become new creations; we have already become new creations. Yet if we do not know this truth, we can be new creations and still continue to think, speak, and act like the old person. Although saved, we can remain bound to our former identity and experiences and live within the limitations of sin and death.

We must therefore distinguish between being born as a new creation and functioning as a new creation. The new birth takes place once and for all by the grace of God, but learning to think, speak, and live according to our new identity requires training in the Word. We must put off the garments of the old person and put on the new person given to us in Christ. This is why NCTC teaches the revelation of the new creation and trains believers to live from it.

The first key to the revelation of the new creation is distinguishing between spirit, soul, and body.

(John 3:6, NKJV) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

A human being is made up of spirit, soul, and body. When we are born again, our bodies and our minds are not instantly recreated; our spirits are born anew. We must clearly recognize that I am a spirit, I have a soul, and I live in a body, which is my earthly house. 'I am a spirit. I am a new creation in Christ.' This confession is the starting point for functioning as a new creation.

Many Christians identify themselves entirely with their bodies, emotions, and thoughts. When their bodies feel weak, they define themselves as weak. When fear arises in their minds, they think of themselves as people held captive by fear. But the body is the house in which we live, and the soul is the faculty through which we think, feel, and choose. Our true identity is the spirit that has been born of God. Our born-again spirits are united with Christ and contain His life, righteousness, and power.

If we do not understand this distinction, physical circumstances and emotions will continually determine our identity. But when we know that we are spirits who possess souls and live in bodies, we begin to recognize a spiritual reality beyond what is visible. Even when symptoms are present in the body, we can see that the life of the risen Christ is in our spirits. Even when fearful thoughts arise, we can see that within our spirits are power, love, and a sound mind.

(2 Corinthians 5:16-17, NKJV) Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh... Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

When we see ourselves according to the flesh, what is visible defines us. If our bodies are sick, we say, 'I am a sick person.' If we experience failure, we conclude, 'I am a failure.' The wounds and limitations of the past become our identity. But the Word declares that from now on we are to know no one according to the flesh. We must know ourselves not according to visible circumstances, but according to the spiritual reality accomplished in Christ.

Living according to the flesh does not refer only to committing physical sins. Treating the physical reality confirmed by our five senses as the final truth is also functioning according to the flesh. We call ourselves failures because of visible failure, limit our future because of past wounds, and accept present lack as though it were an eternal identity. The world always judges people by what is visible, but God sees us according to what has been completed in Christ.

The command, 'Behold, all things have become new,' is not telling us to look with our physical eyes at our weaknesses and limitations. It is an invitation to see, with the eyes of faith, who we truly are after being made new in Christ. As we see in the Word who we have become in Christ, what we possess, and what we have been called and empowered to do, that spiritual reality begins to manifest in our lives.

We must therefore confess these truths intentionally: 'I am a spirit. I have a soul and live in a body. I am born of God and I am a new creation in Christ. I have been seated with Christ in heavenly places, and I live in His life and victory.' This is not positive thinking that denies reality. It is the confession of faith that receives God's Word as a higher truth than what is visible.

The Bible's command to 'behold' is extremely important. With our natural eyes, we may still see sickness and failure, lack and mistakes, weakness and limitation. Yet the Word declares that all those old things have passed away. We must now see with the eyes of the spirit and the eyes of faith who we have become in Christ. We must behold who we are in Him, what we possess, what we can do, and the destiny we have been called to fulfill.

Transformation begins from within as we look into the mirror of the Word.

(John 8:31-32, NKJV) If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus said that as we abide in His Word, we will know the truth and that truth will make us free. The truth here is not the circumstance visible before our eyes; it is the reality given to us through the death and resurrection of Christ. As we know and abide in the righteousness and life, healing and freedom, victory and abundance we have received in Christ, freedom begins to manifest from the inside out.

Knowing the truth is not merely accumulating knowledge about Bible verses. It means continually abiding in the Word until it governs our thoughts, imaginations, emotions, and choices. When Christ's victory and our position, identity, and inheritance in Him become more real to us than outward circumstances, that truth works within us as power. Freedom from sickness and addiction, the chains of sin and fear, weakness and limitation begins to manifest, and the victory and abundance of Christ become visible in our lives.

(2 Corinthians 3:18, NKJV) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Word of God is the mirror that reflects our spirits. As we look into that mirror, we see not failure and weakness, but Christ within us and His glory. As we continue to fix our attention on that glory, the Holy Spirit transforms us into the same image. Healing and prosperity, freedom from the bondage of sin, the fruit of righteousness, and the character of the Spirit all begin to flow from within as we behold who we have become in the Word and then think, speak, and act accordingly.

A mirror reflects the person standing before it. Yet when we look into the mirror of the Word, we see the glory of the Lord. This is because our born-again spirits have become one with Christ, and Christ now dwells within us. The glory of Christ reflected in the Word also reveals our true selves, made new in Him. As we behold that glory, we are transformed into the same image, not by our own effort, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

Ultimately, the central battle in the revelation of the new creation is the battle over what we will behold. Will we focus only on physical circumstances and the feelings reported by our five senses, or will we look with the eyes of faith at the spiritual reality we possess in Christ? When we stop knowing ourselves and our lives according to the flesh, and instead meditate on and abide in our inheritance in Christ according to the Word, the Holy Spirit transforms us from glory to glory.

The same principle applies to healing, prosperity, and freedom from the bondage of sin. It also applies to bearing the fruit of righteousness and experiencing the power of God. We must first see in the Word what has already been made new within us, truly regard ourselves accordingly, and align our thoughts, words, and actions with that truth. Then the life and power of Christ within our born-again spirits will flow into our souls, our bodies, and the circumstances of our lives.

Dear partners, during this month of September, I encourage you to meditate more deeply on the inheritance that is yours in Christ. Fix your attention on the mirror of the Word rather than on your outward circumstances. Behold your true self reflected in that mirror, regard yourself accordingly, and speak and act in agreement with it. I believe the Holy Spirit will bring glorious transformation to your life and health, your family and workplace, your finances and ministry.

I also encourage you to make active use of the confession prayers we share. Confess from the Word who you are in Christ, what you possess, and what you can do. Confession is not an attempt to persuade God. It is training that brings our thoughts, words, and actions into alignment with the finished reality of the Gospel. May you abide daily before the mirror of the Word, behold your true self, and remain firmly grounded in the foundations of the new-creation message throughout this month.

As I watched this simple message set people free in Brazil, I was reminded again how urgently the Gospel of the new creation is needed not only in Korea and the United States, but among all nations. Please pray with us that this Word will continue to spread throughout the world, that Christians will be trained to function as new creations, and that end-time soul winners will be raised up.

Your prayers and financial seeds are present in every place where this Gospel is proclaimed, the sick are healed, and leaders are trained. Thank you from the depths of our hearts for embracing the vision God has entrusted to NCTC and for laboring together with us.

Thank You for entrusting NCTC with the mission of proclaiming the Gospel
of the new creation and training believers, and of raising up soul winners in these last days.
Thank You for sending us partners who sow into this mission through their prayers, finances, and lives.
Thank You that the grace and anointing You have poured upon this ministry
flow abundantly into the lives of all who partner with us.

Increase the fruits of righteousness from every seed our partners have sown,
and supply them abundantly with seed to sow and bread for food.
Thank You that eternal fruit overflows in their heavenly accounts.
As they behold the reality of provision and prosperity that is theirs in Christ,
thank You that poverty, lack, and insufficiency depart, and that they advance
the Kingdom of God powerfully from a place of abundance.
I bless the finances, families, and health of every partner.

I declare that every sick body is completely healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Throughout September, may they see ever more clearly who they have become
in Christ through the mirror of the Word,
and thank You for transforming them from glory to glory.
